Case study: decision and domain
Status: AUTHORING TEMPLATE. Replace unknowns with reviewed evidence.
Stakeholder and decision
Who uses the result and who is affected? Define decision time, error costs, observation, available inputs, target, population, and operating limits.
Data and rights
Identify real source, license/citation, retrieval date/hash, schema, privacy concerns, transformations, and raw-byte preservation. Label teaching fixtures. Keep external data separate from original source.
Implementation and evaluation
Name baseline, split, fitting/selection steps, final evaluation plan, dependencies, commands, and saved artifacts. Keep script/notebook behavior in shared code. Report actual failures and uncertainty.
Interpretation and learning
Explain what evidence supports and where transfer is unproven. Describe ownership, monitoring, rollback, and access needs for another setting. Map observable artifacts to outcomes; add core practice, feedback, optional depth, no-assistant route, and selected reading.
Access and verification
Supply text/numerical visual equivalents and completed accessibility/runtime records. A teaching demo is not an operational service.
