Assessment framework

Assess each outcome through an observable artifact, not completion screenshots alone. Public rubrics are intentionally visible. These percentages are suggested activity-level rubrics for adoption, not institutional course grade weights. The published lab rubric is the default for independent learners; instructors announce any adaptation in the LMS before students start. Keep answer keys and grades private.

Outcome Evidence
SLO 1 Classification register and unfamiliar-field rationale (Lab 2)
SLO 2 Lifecycle decision log and required retention discussion (Lab 4/module map); Lab 8 optional
SLO 3 Required infrastructure comparison (module map/capstone); Lab 9 execution optional
SLO 4 Model/test output, ERD and independent test design (Lab 3/capstone)
SLO 5 Separate-login access checks and qualified audit memo (Labs 5,6)
SLO 6 AI governance decision and oral defense (Lab 7/capstone)

Labs 1–6 rubric: evidence 25%, interpretation 35%, transfer 30%, clarity/limits 10%. Lab 7 has its own rubric. Use the performance descriptors and example for consistent feedback. Required lifecycle and infrastructure discussion evidence is specified in the module learning map; optional Labs 8–9 deepen that evidence but are not prerequisites for assessing those discussion outcomes. Actual due dates, institutional rules and grade weights belong in the current LMS.

Optional Labs 10–11 add curation contracts, an editable ERD, transactional failure evidence and a reconciled KPI. Their rubrics appear in their guides; they do not automatically change the official course weights. Consult the syllabus crosswalk.

Optional Labs 12–15 have their own evidence/reflection rubrics in their guides. They do not change required outcomes or official grade weights.
