Instructor start here

  1. Select a baseline. Follow release management to select an exact revision with a passing workflow. Record that revision in your LMS; do not treat changing main as a semester release.
  2. Rehearse as a learner. Follow Student start on disposable Ubuntu, then the validation commands for the activities you will teach. Practice one recovery case from the lab guides.
  3. Map the offering. Use the required course path with your authorized syllabus. The core lab sequence is Labs 1–7; companions and capstone complete the required course path. Labs 8–15 remain optional. Consult authorship, alignment, module map and session notes as references, not parallel assignment checklists.
  4. Calibrate teaching and feedback. Rehearse a session with the delivery plan, then assess a fictional example. Complete the novice and replacement-instructor pilots; record actual timing and difficulties in the pilot form. Use the reasoning check-ins within existing lab feedback.
  5. Configure and freeze the offering. Publish dates, grade weights, accommodations, support and submission routes privately in the LMS. Use the support arrangements checklist. Keep instructor calibration submissions private. Record known limits and pilot status before publishing a versioned teaching release.

course.py all rehearses Labs 1–9, including optional activities. It does not mean all nine are required or that all optional labs have run. The lab index lists each route. Automated checks cannot grade reasoning or certify a syllabus.
